Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
Required for the site to work: sign-in sessions, the language preference (NEXT_LOCALE), security/anti-abuse, and the record of your cookie choice itself. These cannot be switched off.
Analytics (consent required)
Help us understand which products and stores people compare, in aggregate and de-identified where possible (e.g. Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation). Loaded only after you accept.
Advertising
Google AdSense shows and measures the ads that keep the service free. Its script runs on every page, but no advertising cookie or personalised ad is set until you choose "Accept all" below — we signal this to Google directly via Google Consent Mode (ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization all start "denied" and only switch to "granted" once you accept). Rejecting keeps this at "denied" indefinitely.
How to control cookies
When you first visit, a banner lets you "Accept all" or "Reject non-essential". Rejecting keeps every comparison feature working — analytics stays off and Google Consent Mode keeps advertising cookies/personalisation denied. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. We honour these choices via a lightweight, self-hosted consent record stored in your browser (no third-party consent manager).
